SCHOOL CONSULTATION
We have a detailed understanding of London's most popular junior and senior schools and are well placed to offer advice to parents and children who are uncertain about the next steps in their education. We can meet you for a consultation to evaluate the best school to fit your child's needs and we can also advise on the best route to securing a place when the time is right.
GROUP LESSONS
If and when students wish to study with their peers who are studying the same course as them, we are able to offer group workshop lessons. These lessons are held in our classroom facility in North London and will often be more cost effective. In these lessons, tutors will create a small classroom environment to both support their studies at school and address key curricular concerns. In turn, this will boost confidence and grades.
EXAM PREPRATION: GCSE, A LEVEL, IB, PRE U
Strive is at the forefront of educational changes and we are able to help your child achieve the grades they need and want. We have full knowledge of all exam boards, including the new specifications, as well as specialist subject knowledge to ensure that our teaching is carefully targeted and totally beneficial. Virtual learning/Remote LEssons
At Strive Tutors we have seen that in an age of technology and travel, online lessons are increasingly popular. Using accessible, simple software we are able to teach students anywhere in the world, provided they have access to a computer screen and internet connection. These lessons operate in a very similar way to traditional face to face lessons - times and lesson themes will be decided in advance and students will be able to share and develop work with tutors in real time to yield real and positive results.
UK AND US UNIVERSITY APPLICATIONS
We can assist your child with filling out their UCAS forms, writing their personal statements and help with interview technique and practice. We also have extensive experience advising students seeking places at American universities (including Ivy League schools) and can assist with the writing of the Common Application and supplementary essays. We have a great track record of securing students places at top schools including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Columbia, Yale and Stanford.
OXBRIDGE AND OTHER INTERVIEW PREP
Our tutors can assist with interview technique and mock interview practice, giving detailed and targeted feedback to students to ensure that they are able to perfect their interview style. We can also create realistic pre tests and interview tests to give students an authentic interview experience before the "real thing"- in our experience, preparation is key!
School led tuition
We work with schools all over London and England on their 1:1 catch up and intervention programmes, supporting students and classroom teachers in all subject areas and at all Key Stages. We work alongside school staff on specific and general concerns to accelerate progress and raise attainment, providing detailed lesson reports and also summative data to demonstrate the remarkable progress our tutors make with students.
